Wow, so much judgment. My grandmother was engaged at sixteen, married at seventeen, pregnant at eighteen, and a mother at nineteen. And she was a wonderful mother. My mom had her first child at twenty-one, and was also a wonderful mother.

Stop infantilizing teenagers. Not all of them make bad decisions or are unable to be good parents. In much the same way, I’ve met plenty of twenty– or thirtysomethings who were dreadful parents. One of my good friends was also a teen mother, and she was one of the most devoted, thoughtful, and mature parents I ever met.

and just to add I have plenty of friends who have kids and were teen moms. They come from some of the greatest homes and were given all the opportunities but partying and screwing around were fun too or they just wanted a live doll to play with or thought their man would stay with them. Well they’re terrible moms all they think about is themselves because thats how they were raised not just by their parents but society. I’ve seen my friends do terrible things to their kids or say terrible things to their kids the only time their kids make them happy is when it benefits them….and I have have friends from the city who have kids and are just as bad if not worse sometimes because they’ll resort to physical stuff because their parents did it. hello can you see patterns and why most teens in america shouldn’t have kids and aren’t equipped to have them, hell even some adults.

Alright I’m 19 and I was shocked at seeing she did have a baby so young growing up in the spotlight like she did, this would seem a big blemish to most AMERICANS. Again she is half Maori and English, teenagers are more likely to have kids and be adults by 16, 17 years old in those cultures. hell your out of school alot earlier than here in america so you can have a good job at 17 and be married and have kids. Now little girl all happy for her pregnant friend who’s 16 and want to be a mom at 15 your american you ain’t gonna be a good momma at no 15 because your still a baby in your mommies eyes sneaking out and hooking up with boys at parties being treated like a baby. I’ll see you on Maury because thats where little ghetto hood rats like you end up. America’s teen moms suck because no one teaches us to grow up and be adults until were in our late 20’s and cycles just get repeated it’s a shame that our youths our being corrupted by to much love and coddling, and what get’s produced is little girls like above.

What a wonderful thing for Keisha Castle-Hughes and her boyfriend! I think motherhood is a beautiful thing for anyone, regardless of age, who is happy about it and can love and support their child. She was so excited, and I think she will be a great mother, because she has wanted this child so much. Best wishes to the mom, the dad, and the baby!

I think its great that she’s 17 and has a kid now.. my friend whos 16 is going to have a baby and i can’t wait.. don’t judge teenagers on what they choose to do.. it’s their life not yours.. shoot if i got pregnant right now I know I would have the kid(I’m 15).. teenagers need suport these days don’t get mad or discusted over something like this… these days teen pregnancies are very ccommon..
