Yes it got out of control, but that's what happens when 2 people want to be right, or trying to prove a point. Sometimes you feel like the person just doesn't get it. I'm sure KKK is a very nice person. I even found it hard to believe that she would say anything neg about anybody, but. But my point is I would love to see one because they are such beautiful creatures. I did not know this but apparently cougars will prey on domestic cats. Many people have lost their cats to cougars out in the country. Dogs behave just wacky when they sense a cougar nearby. A friend of my husband's was telling a story about how her dog was frightened as h*ell and would not go outside to roam around because he sensed a cougar in the backyard. I guess the key to frighten off a bear is to make loud noises. Bears are shy animals and do not like human contact. One year when I was hiking through Banff National Park the park ranger had warned people about a black bear sighting in the park and told us that only groups of 6 can go hiking in the deep woods and the hikers must also wear bells to make noise.
