Friends & Family Join Minnie Driver For A Low-Key Baby Shower

Minnie Driver and about 40 guests gathered Saturday at a friend’s home in Malibu for a low-key baby shower.
The house was decorated with pink and white peonies, with guests sipping basil lemonade and eating finger sandwiches and berry cake from Sweet Lady Jane.
“Minnie loves the cake,” said a pal.
Minnie opened Gymboree Brand New gifts, while guests hand-painted onesies for the baby and signed personal notes in a book to be given to the mom-to-be.
“It was a beautiful day,” a guest told People magazine.
Minnie, 38, has decided not to find out the sex of the baby. She has said little about the father, except that’s he’s English, “sort of in the same business,” and that they have no plans to marry.

That is a horrible dress Minnie is wearing. Obviously black is not her colour. She is only 38, she should not dress so matronly and drab.

When I read about the pink peonies I was certain she had anounced she’s having a girl. Well, I guess that was just a first wrong impulse. Concerning the father of her baby: I think it’s good she doesn’t mention his name, since she said it was an unplanned pregnancy and he doesn’t like to be in the public spotligtht. If she revealed his name, the paps would be all over this poor guy.
