Angelina On The Joys & Challenges Of Twins
October 9th, 2008
Angelina and Brad have made traveling with their six children - including 3-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne – look easy! But Angelina admitted that it can be hard sometimes.
“After the flight from Europe,” Angelina told the German edition of Vanity Fair, “we were all suffering a bit from jetlag. Although we went to bed early, [the kids] were up at 4:30 a.m. goofing around.”
After moving their family from a chateau in the south of France to a palace in a park in Berlin, the family landed in New York last week for the premiere of her movie Changeling – then headed back to France on Wednesday.
Angelina, 33, admitted to having a very supportive helper: “Brad took care of things. He just said, ‘Go back to sleep, you have to work tomorrow,’ and then went to the living room with the kids. He’s an amazing father: totally devoted.”
Angelina called caring for twins a challenge. “We’re exhausted a lot, because it’s twice as hard with two babies than with one,” she shared. “But it’s twice as much fun, too.”
That means watching them interact. “When you look at them, it’s like they were made for each other,” she explained. “They smile at each other, sniff each other, touch each other. It’s just beautiful.”
Even at their tender ages, they are each displaying distinct temperaments. “They’re totally sweet. They already have completely different personalities. Knox is more the quiet one, very relaxed, while Viv is a little more aggressive and loud,” she said.
On another note, Us magazine is reporting that after giving birth to twins, Angelina had a difficult time putting the breaks on the high-calorie pizzas, Hot Pockets, french fries and ice cream she consumed during her pregnancy.
Her snacking got so bad that a source close to Angelina’s French Ob-Gyn, Michel Sussman, told Us magazine that he instructed her to eat more nutritiously. (She said junk food is “their family’s weakness” and even joked about Brad Pitt having a pregnant belly, said the source.)
Reportedly Angelina did not shed an estimated 50 pounds by working out. The new issue Us magazine reveals what Angelina eats for breakfast, lunch and dinner; the food shipments she receives from a department store in Berlin and how her new diet has gotten her entire family (including Brad!) to eat healthier.
Hmmm….I can’t wait to check that out…but I suspect that she is just naturally slim!

i love brangelina they’re adorable, to all new mom’s out there, breasfeeding is natural and something all mom should adapt for a healthy human being. it is not private but for all of us including dad to raise awareness that it is acceptable to be done public, and it is so happen that ange had to do the show. For Ange keep up the good work mommy milk is priceless. More blessing to your family

thumbs up to AngJ for the breastfeeding pic. If anyone can glamorize breastfeeding, she can. Awesome!

I doubt Us Weekly knows ANYTHING about them beyond what they give to the press, let alone what she eats for breakfast.

There is absolutely nothing wrong if a woman chooses not to breastfeed. There are plenty of women out there that chose not the breast feed for their own personal choices and their children are perfectly fine, healthy and normal. It really bugs me when women are made to feel deficient or guilty because they chose formula. I don’t have kids but both my sister in law and one of my closest friends chose formula over breastmilk and all their kids are happy, vivacious, healthy and extremely intelligent.

Oh come on Coco breast milk is made for babies, formula is full of chemicals.

#5 – lets not get into this
8. Jill | October 9th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
#5- which chemicals? All I see is vitamins on the can.
9. coco | October 9th, 2008 at 9:38 pm
#5 – The atmosphere is full of chemicals but you’re still breathing oxygen. Our drinking water is full of chemicals but your still drinking it. Our fresh produce is full of chemicals but I’m sure you’re still eating it, unless you have taken to eating rocks instead.
There are a lot of hypocrites out there that praise breastfeeding and extended breastfeeding yet you will see these same people standing in line at McDonalds or KFC scarfing down Big Macs and popcorn chicken. If you happen to be a breastfeeding purist then practice what you preach or keep your opinions to yourself.

I agree with Coco. I formula feed and I’m so sick and tired of nursing nazis saying that their way is the best. What proof do you have? Have all breast fed babies been cancer free, or diabetic free, or even colic free? Do they never get sick? Talk is cheap. I want some living physical examples of a perfect child who was breast fed.

Laila give Collette a break! She can only access the Internet via her mobile (cell) phone. With this in mind she clearly doesn’t have the ability to spell check, and she must also keep her messages brief or else she will loose her Internet connection.
Peace.

Angelina looks pretty in that dress. :)
17. t | October 10th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
#16 I’m going to have to disagree with you. There is nothing pretty about that dress. AJ is pretty. In that dress though, she reminds me of a widow peasant from Romania.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing about Collette’s comments. I couldn’t understand why she was typing that way and was finding it increasingly difficult to understand her comments. Thanks for the clarification.
