Angie Harmon’s Baby Shower

Angie Harmon, 36, and about 30 guests gathered Sunday afternoon for her baby shower at a friend’s house in Los Angeles.
Angie was joined by friends including Amber Valletta, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Holly Robinson Peete, Meredith Salenger, Lori Loughlin, Julie Moran and Ming Na (as well as a surprise appearance by Angie’s husband Jason Sehorn). They celebrated at the home of Angie’s friend, Jamie Tish, who hosted with Jill Eistenstadt-Chayet.
Guests enjoyed lots of candy, a cake from Sweet Lady Jane and champagne. L’Occitane assembled the gift bags.
Jamie, Jill and Angie delivered speeches. “It was very sweet and touching,” said a guest.
An expectant (with twins!) Rebecca Romijn sent Angie an Angel Dear Dalmatian Puppy Blanket and two My Blankee blankets from the L.A. baby store Bel Bambini, where Angie had registered for her shower. Amber Valletta gifted Angie with Bebe Au Lait Hooter Hiders in Hot Dots from Bel Bambini.
According to a source, Angie knows the sex of the baby but is keeping it a secret, so all gifts were unisex.
Angie and husband Jason Sehorn, 36, a former NFL player, announced in August they were expecting their third child. Their new addition will join big sisters Finley, 5, and Avery, 3.

Okay, why a baby shower for a THIRD kid???? Hollywood is SO greedy and it makes no sense at all! Ridiculous!

You know, I’ve never heard of people not having baby showers for every baby. Is that a Canadian or British thing?

You know she and Jason can afford baby items. It’s not that she shouldn’t have a baby shower, it just does not seem right with the way the economy is right now. Most people are losing their homes or have lost a job and here she is getting more baby items when she doesn’t really need them.

This seems to come up under every post about a baby shower. I guess it all depends on the circle in which you associate, but it’s not unusual at all to me to have a baby shower for each baby. For me it was never about receiving gifts, but about celebrating the upcoming birth of a baby.

Angie and Jason are not responsible for the economy.
Neither Angie, Jason, or any of their guests owe anything financially to the public.
My husband and I make a very good income. We are giving our youngest son scuba diving lessons and I just bought myself some jewelry.
Do either of us “need” these things? No, but since it is our money, we get to choose how to spend it.
Period.
