Gwyneth Works Out Three Hours A Day?

Gwyneth Paltrow

Chef Mario Batali shared how much he thinks Gwyneth works out to maintain her fabulous figure.

“I think she works out three hours a day - which is one of the keys to success,” chef Mario Batali told Us magazine at the opening of the Uncle Ben’s Kids Café in Carson, California, on Wednesday

“If we all did that, we’d all look like Gwyneth Paltrow,” he said. “Or at least closer.”

He added that the Iron Man actress, 35, “loves to eat … and, you know, she never puts on a pound!”

Gwyneth and Mario Batali are teaming up for their upcoming PBS documentary Spain …On the Road Again, airing this fall.

“We had an amazing time — we saw everything!” he said.

“Predominately,” he added, the show’s “about understanding Spain from the perspective of a casual traveler. It’s very much like a road trip, we just drove into a place, figured out what was going on and tried to get a hold of it.”

Oh…Gwyneth is probably cursing Mario right now! No one is supposed to ADMIT to working out three hours a day….even if that is the truth! Just kidding! He only said that he “thought” she must work out that much.

Gwyneth Paltrow Opens Up About Her Vices

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow’s showing off a bold new look on the latest cover of V Magazine – photographed by Mario Sorrenti – and in it, the Iron Man actress spills new details about her home life, her post-baby weight loss, and her indulgence in certain chocolate-chip “vices.”

But how did she make the jump from motherhood back to movies? “I have an amazing nanny,” she told the magazine, on newsstands May 15th. “I didn’t have one till Apple was 14 months old, but then, because we were going on tour [with husband Chris Martin’s band Coldplay], we found someone fantastic. She’s been with us ever since.”

Without her, “I was really tired. … [but] obsessed – madly, deeply in love – with my daughter. I wanted to be with her all day long. I was under a crazy spell. I still am, but I’ve had to adjust to reality more.”

Another rough part of parenthood? Losing the baby weight!

“I put on 40 pounds with Moses. And I found it really hard to lose the last 20 pounds,” Gwyneth, 35, admits. “I didn’t mind having the big boobs. But it was the stomach roll, the back fat, and the post-pregnant butt. And it was so hard to get rid of.”

She did it with by eating “organic, seasonal food that isn’t processed.”

“I haven’t eaten meat for about fifteen years. I eat fish, a little bit of dairy – not much milk – but I love cheese,” she added. “We’ll make chocolate chip cookies and eat them, but sugar makes me feel pretty bad. I have coffee and wine. I’ve got lots of lovely vices!”

Gwyneth Paltrow On How Her Lifestyle Changed After Becoming A Mother

Gwyneth Paltrow

(In the above pic Gwyneth was snapped at Good Morning America on April 29th)

Once Gwyneth Paltrow became a mother she abandoned her famously strict diet, she says.

“I was seriously macrobiotic for four years,” she told BBC talk show host Jonathan Ross in a program set to air Friday in the U.K. “When I first got pregnant, it changed. I couldn’t go near anything healthy.”

Since giving birth to daughter Apple (whom she calls “Appley-Dappley”) in 2004 and son Moses in 2006, Gwyneth’s tastes dramatically changed!

“I love anything fried – fish and chips – Branston pickle [jarred relish], red wine,” she told the show. And she admitted to regularly enjoying a pint of her favorite stout, Guinness.

But it’s not just the food and beer that have made London such an attractive place for her and husband Chris Martin to bring up their brood.

“I love it here, I’m really happy,” she told Ross. “If you never walk down the street together, it can stay private. We really value our family life.”

Living away from the L.A. spotlight also helps insulate the family from prying paparazzi.

“The media feels very dark now,” she said. “They want you to fall, throw up or do crack.”

Gwyneth Paltrow Says Being A Parent Makes Life Worth Living

Apple and Moses Martin may have two famous parents – Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin – but when it comes to playtime, they fight just like anybody else’s kids.

“He just turned 2 last week,” Gwyneth, 35, told David Letterman on Monday’s Late Show. As for older sister Apple, “She’ll be 4 in May … it’s a very good age difference.”

At first stating the obvious – “Boys and girls are very fundamentally different, though, aren’t they?” – Gwyneth went on to describe Apple as “quiet and she’s imaginative and she’s very verbal, and she likes to sit with her things and build houses and hotels for her dolls.”

Moses, on the other hand, “will just come in and thrash the hell out of anything she’s doing.” Added their mother, “If he can inflict pain on her while he’s thrashing, then even better.”

Not that he’s not doing anything beyond the pale. “He’s very sweet,” says Gwyneth. “But we call him ‘our sensitive thug.’ It’s a line from a Jay-Z song, but it fits him perfectly.”

And Apple? “She’s kind of starting of give it back to him, in a very female, under-the-radar way.”

Gwyneth also marveled at her daughter’s vocabulary, saying that Apple will inform her that she is being “antagonized” by Moses.

“Wow,” said David Letterman. “Pretty good.”

All in all, summarized Gwyneth, “I’m very proud.” Of being a parent, she observed, “It’s the best. It just makes life worth living.”

Gorgeous Gwyneth Continues To Glam It Up!

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth was back on the promotional trail last night with another glamorous appearance at a screening of her new film Iron Man at New York’s Tribeca Grand Hotel.

Gwyneth, who has trotted around the globe in towering 7 inch heels this month - Burberry boots in Berlin! Pacchini platforms in Paris! - didn’t disappoint, arriving at the event in a pair of black patent Christian Louboutins.

And her Stella McCartney dress was stunning!

While Chris Martin was nowhere in sight after the couple vowed to never attend public events together, the 35-year-old wasn’t short on support, with friends (and fellow moms) Liv Tyler and Helena Christensen turning out at the event.

Of Gwyneth’s recent penchant for high heels, she says: “They were just fabulous. They were very tall but they weren’t hard to walk in.”

While in Paris last week she was photographed clutching her bodyguards arm, but she denies it was because she was struggling to keep her balance.

“I’m a capable heel walker but I had trouble with my knee while I was making the film and sometimes on stairs it hurts.

“People thought it was because I was falling off my heels which wasn’t the case.”

It’s Gwyneth’s first official press tour since she stepped away from the spotlight to raise her two children.

And it appears little Apple, 3, hasn’t fallen far from the tree.

“She changes her outfits about seven times a day. She loves clothes and walks around the house in my high heels.”

She adds that her two-year-old son is emerging as her toughest fashion critic.

She told the Mirror: “Every time I put on a dress he thinks it means I’m going out, so he says ‘I don’t like it’”.

While in New York, her hometown, the star also made an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, where she arrived fresh from a workout in tracksuit and trainers, before slipping on yet another frock, and yes, a suitably high stilettos.

Below Gwyneth is pictured in a range of her recent stylish ensembles!

And Gwyneth also appears in the June issue of UK GQ!

Gwyneth Paltrow Interview About Her Post-Partum Depression

Gwyneth Paltrow

Like many moms, Gwyneth Paltrow says she suffered from post-partum depression following childbirth. In a new interview, she opened up to ET’s Cojo about what it felt like and how she got through it.

“It was a very difficult time,” she shared. “I just did not know what was wrong with me. I felt very detached, I felt like I was a shell of myself. I just felt like I was going through the motions of the things in my life. It was a very weird three to six months. I didn’t know what was wrong with me until I started to come out of it, and my mom said to me, ‘You don’t seem right. What’s going on?’ And I was defensive because I didn’t know what was wrong with me.”

The mom of two, Apple, 3, and Moses, 2, says she didn’t take medication because, “By the time I realized I needed medication I was already coming out of it.” She said, “I really feel for any woman who’s had it or going through it, because it’s not easy.”

Next, Gwyneth can be seen playing Pepper Potts in the new ‘Iron Man’ movie, starring Robert Downey Jr. as the Marvel superhero. “It’s time to just have some fun!” she says of the film, in theaters May 2nd.

(My husband and son are psyched to go see this movie together..it definitely looks like a fun summer flick for the guys!)
