The Latest News for Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman has planned the birth of her first child, due in the next few weeks, right down to the smallest detail.
Nicole has reserved a private room at a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, lined up the finest medical care for the natural birth - and even put together a compilation of music for the delivery.
Nicole, 41, who married country singer Keith Urban in 2006, has naturally included some of her husband’s songs. But at top of her list are the soothing melodies of Irish flutist Sir James Galway.
A source said: ‘Nicole has been putting together CDs of music to listen to during labor. She has always loved James Galway, particularly his classical albums.
‘Whenever you go to her house, she has Galway on. There is one Prokofiev sonata that is her favourite.’
Sir James, 68, is considered the finest flutist of his generation. Knighted in 2001, he has recorded more than 60 albums. His most famous hit was the instrumental version of John Denver’s hit Annie’s Song in 1978.
Nicole already has two children, Isabella, 14, and Conor, 12, which she adopted with her former husband Tom Cruise.

Nicole Kidman opened up in July’s Vogue about expecting her first child with husband Keith Urban.
After suffering two miscarriages with ex Tom Cruise, the 40-year-old actress (who is due in July) said she cried when she saw the ultrasound.
“I didn’t think I’d get to experience that in my lifetime,” she admitted. “I like the unpredictable nature of it. To feel life growing with you is something very, very special, and I’m going to embrace that completely.”
Nicole, who has two adopted children, Connor, 13, and Isabella, 15, from her marriage to Tom Cruise, opened up in the magazine:
Being happy and pregnant:
“My sister has had four kids, and she says that when you’re pregnant you draw people to you who are genuinely happy. She’s right. It taps into that thing in human nature that is universal and collective and beautiful.”
Life in Tennessee:
“I’ve been in Tennessee, just sitting. We have a farm there, and I have an organic vegetable garden. This is a path I’d not taken before. My mum’s always gardened. My sister gardens. And I’ve now conformed to the Kidman women’s hobby of gardening. And it is just a hobby. I’m not feeding the troops. There’s a softness to the Tennessee landscape that I just love. It’s very beautiful out there. We have deer and wild turkeys.”
Keith Urban’s battle with addiction:
“I’m so committed to this relationship, and so is he. I don’t have addiction problems, but love is a very powerful force in my life. It’s my fatal flaw and my virtue.”
New appreciation of life:
“You can fight life. You can wriggle and squirm and say, ‘This isn’t right.’ But I’m glad I’ve learned to let things flow. I’m now so much more capable of receiving love and giving it in a far different way. So to be given the blessing of a child at this stage of my life, you just say, ‘Wow, this was meant to be.’ ”

Before hitting rehearsals for the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas this weekend, Keith Urban told a local radio station Saturday that he can’t wait to become a father.
“I’m very excited about it,” Keith told KCYE in Sin City. Although Keith is not sure of Nicole’s exact due date, they do know the baby’s gender. “But I’m not saying,” he added. “I’m glad we found out though, because it brought it home, you know what I’m saying.”
Keith, who is nominated for entertainer of the year at Sunday’s award show, has descended on Vegas – along with many of country music’s biggest stars – to prepare. “I’m not worried about anything,” Urban said about pre-show jitters. “I feel so grateful for this year.”
As Keith prepares for fatherhood, he’s not alone among his country music pals. Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts is also set to be a dad for the first time. His wife, Tiffany Fallon, is due “any minute,” he said.
At the Home Depot Celebrity Golf Tournament, Joe Don Rooney told People magazine, “I might be putting on the fourth hole and get that call and I’m off on a plane. She’s ready to get this baby out.”
As for Keith, Rascal Flatts lead singer Gary LeVox says he expects him to be a hands-on father. “Keith is such a passionate person,” Gary said. “He’ll be a great dad for sure.”

Nicole Kidman is preparing to give birth for the first time – and luckily she has Naomi Watts to talk her through it.
“Whenever you’re pregnant, you always call on your pregnant friends and compare notes,” Naomi, 39, – who gave birth to son Alexander Pete last July – told People magazine Monday at a press conference to discuss her new role as the face of Angel, a fragrance by designer Thierry Mugler. “It’s what happens in friendship.”
So will Nicole, 40 – who’s expecting her first child with husband Keith Urban – be a good mom?
“Of course!” said Naomi. In fact, since the Oscar-winner has two adopted children, Isabella and Conner, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, “She’s already a great mum.”
While Alexander – whose dad is actor Liev Schreiber – didn’t put in an appearance at the event, Naomi said he’s growing up fast.
“He’s turning pages in the book,” she said proudly. “He’s crawling and standing up. He can wave. I read Goodnight Moon to him every night.”

Keith Urban is clearly thrilled about his impending fatherhood! He shared his joy during his latest stop on the “Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride” tour.
“I’m gonna be a dad soon, and it only took me 40 years!” Keith told a cheering crowd at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Md., Wednesday night. To mark the occasion, the soon-to-be dad accepted a special gift from a fan – a purple and black Baltimore Ravens onesie, which he hung from his microphone as he sang the love ballad “Somebody Like You.”
Keith even hopped offstage to sing in the stands with fans and autographed a guitar for one lucky concertgoer.
As he did during his pre-Valentine’s Day concert at Madison Square Garden, the singer took a seat at the keyboard and dedicated his song, “Got It Right This Time,” to “my extraordinary wife.”
