Despite the nasty divorce that Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen went through, Denise has warm wishes for her former husband on the occasion of the birth of his twin sons with wife Brooke Mueller Sheen.

“I’m so happy for them,” she told Extra. “The girls [her two daughters with Sheen] are really excited that they’re big sisters now. They’ve already made them a couple pictures and they can’t wait to see them.”

Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller Sheen welcomed twin boys Saturday night. The children, named Max and Bob, are the first for the couple, who married in May 2008.

“They’re doing great,” Charlie’s publicist Stan Rosenfield told People magazine of the babies, who weren’t due for another few weeks. “And Brooke’s doing great.”

The family is “very happy,” Stan Rosenfield says, adding that Charlie is “ecstatic. He’s a family man – now he has three daughters and two sons. He’s a wonderful father.”

Charlie, 43, has daughters, Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, with ex-wife Denise Richards, and another, 24-year-old Cassandra, from a previous marriage.

Brooke, 31, was hospitalized with early contractions last month, but released shortly after.

Charlie Sheen and ex Denise Richards’s daughters are unharmed after being involved in a car accident Friday in Malibu, his rep told People magazine.

“Charlie told me that the girls are fine,” said publicist Stan Rosenfield. “He said it could have been much worse. They were in their car seats, and he is extremely grateful for the safety features from Mercedes.”

The girls, Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, were being driven by the girls’ nanny in a Mercedes SUV around 3:30 p.m. when a Honda Civic made a turn in front of them, sparking a four-car collision, Sgt. Evans of the L.A. Sheriff’s Department confirms.

“The only person injured was the driver of the Honda,” Sgt. Evans said. “There was no crime committed.”

A rep for Denise could not be reached for comment.

This will sound like a random vent….but oh well! I see so many moms that I know let their nanny drive their children around everywhere in the nanny’s miniature toy car (which usually sports a few dents and nicks for good measure) while the moms jaunt about town in the GIGANTIC SUV! That does not make sense to me! Obviously driving safely is important, but you never have any control of how other people are driving, and being in a safe vehicle with a high center of gravity and a high safety rating for front and side impact is very important in a collision.

Despite the rumors, Denise Richards won’t be appearing on “Dancing With the Stars”

“No, I am not doing ‘Dancing With the Stars,’” Denise told Access Hollywood on Sunday at a Clothes Off Our Backs charity event.

But she will be watching from home.

“I love the show, that is my popcorn night with my girls,” she said. “I love to watch the dancing, the girls love looking at the dresses.”

As for her own reality show, Denise said another season of “It’s Complicated” could be in the cards.

“We’re having great conversations about season two,” she shared.

Apparently Charlie Sheen became so angry with Sam and Lola’s pediatrician, that he paid him with change! Charlie reportedly asked his children’s doctor, Peter Waldstein, to stop treating his daughters, according to his ex-wife Denise Richards’ wishes, and when the doctor refused, Charlie collected $380 in nickels to settle an outstanding bill. According to TMZ.com, Charlie was upset that the doctor was immunizing his young children without his permission. Wow! That is 7,600 nickels…almost 84 pounds of nickels!

Charlie’s representative, Stan Rosenfield, has hit back at the doctor for going public with the story: “Dr. Waldstein should spend more time treating his patients than leaking stories to TMZ.”

Denise accused Charlie Sheen of a truly awful thing, and the judge thought the accusations were baseless and threw the whole thing out.

Denise Richards went too far when she falsely accused her ex, Charlie Sheen, of molesting their daughters – and now Sheen will move for full custody of the kids by charging that their mother is a liar. A source said, “Denise’s accusations were vile. She was basically trying to say Charlie [manipulated] the kids and acted inappropriately with them. It’s disgusting and totally untrue. Charlie is furious . . . Denise has really pushed it too far this time.

“She came after Charlie because the ratings on her E! reality show [’It’s Complicated’] have tanked and they were threatening not to renew,” the source said. “She thinks a court battle would be good for ratings so she wants all overnight visits with the girls ceased, and monitored visits with her nanny. She invited the media circus to the hearing and even wanted reporters in the judge’s chambers – which wasn’t allowed. It’s ridiculous.”

Sheen is said to be so furious, he’s “out to prove Denise’s lack of veracity and sue her in civil court for defamation. Then he’ll sue for child custody… Charlie has now been forced to take a stand and do what’s best for the girls,” our insider said. Reps for Richards and Sheen declined comment.

Denise needs to stop spending so much time with her attorney(s) and start spending more time with her two daughters. Think of all the psychic energy that she is wasting on this mess. It is truly sad.
