Gorgeous Kate Winslet, 31, keeps little Joe warm as she strolls through New York. Joe will turn 3 on December 22nd! Kate is also has a 6-year-old daughter named Mia.

I have been in the market for a “blankie pod” thing like the one Kate’s son is all cozy in in this picture…so I am going to try to find out which one this is…it looks very warm and comfy!

Kate Winslet is already mom to Mia, 6, and Joe, 3, but she’d like more children, she says in a new interview.

“I’m hoping to have more kids,” Winslet, 31, who stars in the upcoming romantic comedy The Holiday, tells InStyle in its December issue. “I don’t whether one or two. Oh, God, I would love to have more.”

She’s already getting glowing reviews from her little girl. “Mia said to me the other day in the car, ‘Mum, I really love your cooking,’ ” Winslet says. “To me it was a sort of incredibly triumphant moment, the fact that she observed that I do cook their meals.”

She adds, “It’s great when the mum can be the person who represents all of those nurturing things for her kids. My mum was certainly that for me.”

Winslet likes cooking the kids’ favorites: salmon for Mia and lamb for Joe. “It makes me sound like a domestic freak,” she says, “but I care very much about my kids’ nutrition.”

She also hopes to instill a non-materialistic sensibility in her childen. At Christmas, she says, she tells friends and family not to go overboard with gifts. “I have to phone people and say, ‘Please, books and pens only, or mittens and hats.’ “

Kate Winslet (who will be turning 31 on October 5th) was snapped out in NYC with her daughter Mia (Mia is Italian for “mine”). Mia will be turning 6 on October 12th. Kate also has a son named Joe who will be turning 3 on December 22nd. Kate looks amazing!

Kate has a movie coming out called Little Children. Little Children has a couple of nude scenes, about which Winslet jokes, “That’s it! I can’t do it again! I’ve had two kids!”

She continues, cheerfully, “I suppose it will be quite good to look back on when I’m 60, and I can go, ‘Aha! Look what I did! And I’d had two children at the time!’

But I remember walking in to do it, thinking, ‘How am I going to pull this off? The belly is certainly not what it was. The boobs are certainly not what they were.’ You do think, ‘Oh, God!’ but at the same time, I was playing a mother, and it’s so important to me to have those things look as real as possible.”

Kate, who turns 31 in October, has a 6-year-old daughter, Mia, from her brief first marriage to Jim Threapleton, and she and husband Sam Mendes have a 2-year-old son, Joe.

The curvaceous mother of two was voted top by readers of Closer as having the body that most women would like to have. Her daughter, Mia Honey Threapleton, is 5 and her son, Joe Alfie Winslet-Mendes, is 2.

“I know that I have a real woman’s figure,” says Kate. “It’s nice that it’s acknowledged and appreciated, that I refuse to conform. I don’t starve myself.” What makes the mother of two – to Mia, 5, and Joe, 2 – feel beautiful? “The happiness I feel in having a family has brought me a real beauty.”

It is refreshing and inspiring to see a celeb like Kate focus on helping children, not her waistline!

“Film star Kate Winslet has opened Bristol’s new special care baby ward during a flying visit from the set of her latest film.

The Titanic actress cut the ribbon at Southmead Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit after a fundraising drive paid for its £1.2m refurbishment.

The Tiny Lives Campaign raised £700,000 towards the cost of the work.

Mum-of-two Ms Winslet, 30, spent two hours touring the new unit, meeting parents and children.

She said: “”The Tiny Lives campaign touched my heart and it is clear it has made the world of difference to the parents – I’m thrilled to be part of this special day.”

Karen Willis, fundraising manager, said: “It was great Kate could come today and add some Hollywood glamour.

“She pulled out all the stops to be here today – it was the icing on the cake.”

The four-time Oscar nominee, who has a home in the Cotswolds, flew in from the US where she had been filming The Holiday with co-stars Jude Law and Cameron Diaz.”

I spent an idyllic summer in the Cotswolds, and though I live in an idyllic non-Brit environs, still pine for the lavender fields and thatched roof cottages and old stone churches of the English countryside. But, that is not the point of course! Thank you Kate for using your celebrity to help children. It is an inspiration to us all. I may need to do more research, but it seems that The Tiny Lives Campaign in the UK may be similar to the March of Dimes in the States,
