Tim Allen and his wife Jane Hajduk are expecting their first child together.

“Tim Allen and his wife Jane are ecstatic at the upcoming birth of their first child together,” their rep said. “The baby is due in spring 2009.”

Tim, 55, and Jane married in October 2006 in Colorado.

They appeared in two movies together: the adventure Zoom and the comedy The Shaggy Dog.

Tim was previously married to his college sweetheart, Laura Deibel, with whom he has a daughter, Katherine, 19.

John Travolta broke a two-day silence over the tragic death of his 16-year-old son Jett on Sunday, saying he and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, were “heartbroken” by their sudden loss.

Jett, who had a history of seizures, was found unconscious in a bathroom at his family’s home at the Old Bahama Bay resort on Grand Bahama Island on Friday morning.

He was pronounced dead after being taken by ambulance to Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport and an autopsy to determine the cause of death is due to be performed in the Bahamas on Monday.

“Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered,” Travolta said in a statement posted on his official website.

“We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time that we had with him for the rest of our lives.”

The statement did not refer to Jett’s medical history or possible cause of death. But John’s lawyers, Michael Ossi and Michael McDermott, were quoted on Sunday as saying Jett apparently suffered from grand mal, a type of epilepsy marked by convulsions and loss of consciousness.

He was on an anti-seizure medication called Depakote for several years, Ossi and McDermott said.

They said the drug was suspended after it lost its effectiveness amid concern about side effects, however, and Jett had been suffering about one extremely serious seizure a week.

John and Kelly have said previously that Jett became very sick when he was a toddler and was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, which leads to inflammation of the blood vessels in young children.

John Travolta’s 16-year-old son has died, Basil Rahming, the Chief Superintendent of the Grand Bahama Police, confirmed on Friday.

John’s lawyer, Michael Ossi, told TMZ.com, which first reported the news, that Jett suffered a seizure Friday morning at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.

He was taken to Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, Rahming stated. An autopsy will be performed at the hospital.

Police spokesperson Loretta Mackey told TMZ that Jett hit his head on the bathtub. A caretaker named Jeff Michael Kathrain found Jett found unconscious in the bathroom around 10 a.m., Rahming said.

Jett’s body will be transferred to Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium in The Bahamas on Monday, a Restview rep told TMZ.

It’s been reported that Jett had autism, which John has denied — instead saying Jett is inflicted with Kawasaki Syndrome (the six-year-old son of Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell has the same diagnosis), which can lead to heart disease.

John called Jett “my baby” in an interview with the Australian media several years ago.

“He’s my first, and he’s my heart. And he’s a very special boy,” John said. “He’s Daddy’s boy. And…we spend a lot of time together even though I’m pretty busy. He loves the outdoors and he loves to travel.

“He loves being on the plane. We fly in the ultralight together,” he continued. “And…he likes to climb trees and swim.”

John and wife Kelly Preston are also parents to daughter Ella, 8.

The family arrived in the Bahamas on December 30th.

Update: Dr. Sanjay Gupta said on Larry King Live that it is very unusual for someone to have these kinds of symptoms with Kawasaki syndrome after the age of 8, and that Kawasaki syndrome would affect the heart more than the brain. So it doesn’t all seem to fit together that it is related to Kawasaki disease.

Grey’s Anatomy actress Chyler Leigh, 26, is expecting her third child.

“They are absolutely thrilled and looking forward to the new addition to their young family,” her rep told People magazine.

Chyler and her actor/musician husband, Nathan West, are already parents to two children; son Noah Wilde, 5, and daughter Taelyn, 2.

Chyler’s pregnancy will not be written into the Grey’s storyline, according to her rep Marcel Pariseau.

Leigh plays “Lexie,” the half sister of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) on Grey’s Anatomy. She joined the show in July 2007.

Bristol Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, welcomed a son, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, on Sunday in Palmer, Alaska. The little boy weighed 7 lb., 4 oz.

“We think it’s wonderful,” said Colleen Jones, the sister of Bristol’s grandmother Sally Heath, who confirmed the news. “The baby is fine and Bristol is doing well. Everyone is excited.”

Baby Tripp takes his surname from his dad, Levi Johnston, an apprentice electrician and former Wasilla High School hockey player who has been dating Bristol for three years.

Bristol is currently residing in Wasilla and completing her high-school diploma through correspondence courses.

Levi is studying to become an electrician. He told the Associated Press in October that he and fiancée Bristol plan to wed in 2009 and raise the child together.

When the news of the pregnancy broke, Bristol’s parents said their daughter “came to us with news that we as parents knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned.” They added, Bristol “has our unconditional love and support.”

She was seen enjoying Jose Ignacio Beach with her husband Alejandro Gravier and her three sons Balthazar, 9, Tiziano, 6, and Benicio, 3. Valeria and Alejandro also have an 8-month-old daughter named Taína.

Valeria and her husband are currently facing charges of tax evasion in their native Argentina and may face jail time.

The Argentinian equivalent of the IRS, the “Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos” (AFIP) began a financial investigation of the couple, stating that they may owe them close to 2 million dollars due to irregularities committed between 2002 and 2005.

Valeria and Alejandro declared as “commercial expenses” a series of trips and holidays, automobile maintenance and many personal items for their home in order to evade taxes.

The AFIP claims Valeria’s taxes “are incompatible” with what she earns and they accuse her of hiding her income from outside countries, particularly from hosting and participating in several Italian shows.

The couple argues that those deducted expenses are “necessary” for Valeria’s image.

New parents Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have turned to TV’s Dog Whisperer (Cesar Millan) because they fear their boisterous pet bulldogs (Hemingway and Rigby) could unwittingly pose a danger to baby son Bronx Mowgli. Cesar Millan’s strongest interest is in rehabilitating aggressive dogs, and he holds a special fondness for what he refers to as the “power breeds,” such as pit bulls and rottweilers.

Ashlee and Pete began working with Cesar in advance of Bronx’s arrival.

Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong is expecting a baby with girlfriend Anna Hansen, and the spokeswoman for his cancer foundation has confirmed that the baby was conceived naturally!

“The baby was conceived naturally,” spokeswoman Rae Bazzarre said in a statement to the AP on Wednesday.

Lance’s three other children with ex-wife Kristin were conceived through in vitro fertilization with sperm he froze before undergoing chemotherapy for testicular cancer.

Of the news, Lance said in a statement, ”Anna and I are thrilled to confirm that we are expecting in June and our families are ecstatic and grateful. We are very much looking forward to what 2009 brings on many fronts. We appreciate respecting our privacy, as we are both eager to celebrate the holidays as a family.”
