Like all expectant moms, Ellen Pompeo got bigger while pregnant with her first child, daughter Stella, born last September. But not that much bigger, she says in the April issue of Self magazine.

“I went up a pants size during my pregnancy,” Ellen, 40, shared. “I was in size 25 jeans and went to 26. I gained 26 pounds.” (Stella’s dad is ’s musicEllen’s producer husband Chris Ivery.)

Ellen added that she adores her fuller post-pregnancy shape. “I weigh 10 pounds more than I ever have. I love it.”

The super-svelte star admits that “everyone always told me I was too skinny before, and I thought, Oh, God, what if there are 14-year-olds who think I’m not eating, and then they don’t eat? Do I have a responsibility?”

“Really,” Ellen retorted, “I don’t care if people think I’m too skinny. This is my body. If they don’t like it, screw it. [My weight] doesn’t matter to me. I have a healthy baby.”

Ellen also suggested that she got flack for taking a mere four weeks off before returning to the Grey’s Anatomy set. “A lot of people couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t take my maternity leave,” she said. “I make a good living, but I won’t always make this kind of money. I felt I needed to work while I had this opportunity.”

Danica McKellar and her husband of one year, Mike Verta, are expecting their first child this fall.

“I’m nearing the end of my first trimester and I’m so excited — I’ve been bursting to tell people,” said Danica, 35. Danica played Winnie on “The Wonder Years.”

She originally put off confirming her suspicions. “I was in the middle of a really intense deadline for my book,” explained Danica, whose third book, “Hot X: Algebra Exposed,” comes out in August.

“I wanted to put off the [pregnancy] test because I didn’t want any distractions. That only lasted a day — I couldn’t stop thinking about it and I caved! You can’t try to put that off.”

At first, Danica couldn’t believe the news. “When you do take the home pregnancy test, it doesn’t quite seem real,” notes the mathematician and mom-to-be. “But when you see the baby and the heartbeat on the ultrasound, it’s so incredible.”

“Me and Mike looked at each other and we could not stop the tears,” she said. “We are so happy.”

In July 2007, Rielle Hunter says she learned she was pregnant. Though John Edwards said he would support her, “on some level, he was hoping I would get an abortion,” Rielle says. “He wasn’t happy about the timing. Which is understandable. He was married and running for president.”

Rielle says John has been a “sweet” and “very loving” father, adding that their daughter “calls him Da-da. She’s always known who Da-da is. Yeah. She’s never had Da-da missing from her life … He very much wants to be in her life full—time, and he doesn’t want to hide.”

Now that John Edwards and Elizabeth have separated, she says she has “no idea” if they’ll wind up together. “I do know that I will love him and that love is till death do us part, and probably beyond,” Rielle says. “We have a child together, so at the very least we will be co-parents together.”

Padma Lakshmi debuts her baby daughter!

Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, a rep for the couple has announced.

The baby was born Wednesday in Los Angeles.

“Mother, father and daughter are doing great,” shared their rep.

The baby’s name was not released.

Rebecca, 38, and Eric, 37 — who wed in Las Vegas in 2004 — never formally announced the pregnancy, but Rebecca stepped out last September with a baby bump.

“I’m very curious what this next phase of my life is going to be like,” Eric told Us magazine at the 8th Annual World Poker Tour Invitational in L.A. “It’s exciting. I feel like I’ve been sort of thumbing through the last page of the same chapter for a long time now and am ready to kind of get on with it.”

Asked if they have the nursery ready, Eric said at the February 20th event, “Oh yeah! And we are packing the bag tonight!”

He previously said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he planned on being in the delivery room for the birth.

“I’m going to stay close to my wife and make sure that she is all right,” he said.

He said they even settled on a baby name, but “Rebecca wants to wait until she sees her before we give her the name.”

Of their baby’s name, Eric told Ellen DeGeneres, “We went straight down the middle with this one.”

Jenna Elfman, 38, and husband Bodhi Elfman welcomed son Easton Quinn Monroe Elfman early Tuesday morning (March 2nd) in Los Angeles.

Jenna announced the happy news via Twitter Friday, writing, “He’s an impressive sleeper (thank god!)& I’m his biggest fan. Thank you all so much for your kind words and congrats. We really appreciate it.”

This little boy joins big brother, 2 1/2-year-old Story Elias.

Jenna told E! News in October that Story was excited to meet the new baby and be a big brother.

“I’m not sure if he gets the whole boy or girl thing exactly, but ‘baby’ he gets,” Jenna said. “He’s awesome. He gives my tummy a kiss and gives it a bottle and puts the blankie over my tummy and goes, ‘Baby, night-night.’ “

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools are expecting their fourth child in September, their rep has confirmed.

Jamie, best known in the U.S. for his ‘Naked Chef’ TV show, couldn’t contain his excitement and messaged his Twitter fans: “Guess what…..I’m going to be a dad again!!! We’re expecting, so happy, feel very lucky.”

The latest addition will join big sisters Poppy Honey, 8 this month, Daisy Boo, 6 1/2, and Petal Blossom Rainbow, 11 months. Jamie and Jools wed in June 2000.

“Oliver has spoken in the past of his desire for a boy in his brood. He has joked how he needs another male in the home as ‘back-up’ when he gets bossed around by the girls,” the Press Association reported.

In his online biography, Jamie says he’s never been busier in his life. “The only thing I wish I had more time for is my family — my lovely girls. Although we now have a place in the country to spend our weekends at, so I really look forward to Friday nights when we can pack up and spend the weekends together. That’s what it’s all about!” he writes.

Singer Keyshia Cole, 28, and Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson “are proud to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy, Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr.” It’s the first child for the R&B star.

The couple’s son was born Tuesday at 11:54 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz. “Both mother and baby are doing great,” she added.

“The proud couple would like to thank everyone for giving them privacy during this special time. Keyshia would also like to give a special thank you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist.”

Jim Carrey’s 22-year-old daughter, Jane, welcomed a son in Los Angeles Friday, a rep for Jim confirmed.

Jackson Riley Santana was born at 12:28 Friday morning and weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 oz. and is 20 inches long, the rep added.

“Something beautiful is right around the corner! ;^)” Jim, 47, posted on Twitter on Tuesday. Friday morning, he added, “right around the corner! ;^)”

Jane (Jim’s daughter with ex wife Melissa Womer) wed the baby’s father, Alex Santana, who is in the band “Blood Money” and goes by the stage name “Nitro,” in November. She fronts her own alternative rock band, The Jane Carrey Band.

After announcing her pregnancy last July, Jim told Us magazine, “I’m very excited. Jane is going to be a great mom.”

Jenny McCarthy, Jim’s girlfriend of five years, told Us magazine earlier this month that she would make an “awesome grandma.”

“The world’s best, is what I say,” Jenny, 37, joked to Us magazine.

She said Jane has been calling her for advice.

“We have an awesome relationship. I consider her my daughter,” Jenny said.
