Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell’s twins may only be 5-months-old, but their personalities are starting to show through – especially their sense of humor.

“They’re really developing their own, very specific personas,” Rebecca told People magazine at the Dior Beauty Luncheon Wednesday at the Shangri-La Hotel in Santa Monica. “They’re starting to think that things are hilarious, like they’re noticing the dogs as being anything other than furniture. The dogs were play-fighting the other day and they thought that was hysterical.”

Rebecca’s three dogs – Taco, Better, and Bim – aren’t the only things the girls, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, giggle at. The parents’ bowling skills are apparently laughable as well.

“Jerry and I went bowling last weekend and we put them in their infant seats right in the front so that they could watch us, and they thought it was hilarious,” she said. “It probably was. They were laughing at my score. Like, ‘Mommy can’t knock down any! It’s so funny!’ “

The twins, who were born in December, are the first children for Rebecca, 36, and Jery, 34. And Romijn is no stranger to the exhaustion that being a new mom brings.

“Sometimes I’m so tired, I look down at what I’m wearing, and if it’s comfortable enough to sleep in, I don’t even make it into my pajamas,” shared Rebecca. “I’m looking down, and I’m like, ‘T-shirt and stretchy pants? Yup, that’s fine. It’s pajama-y, good night. Sorry, Jerry!’ “

Rebecca Romijn started her career as a model – and, following in her footsteps, her 4-month-old daughters have now posed for their first fashion photo shoot.

Featured with her girls for an InStyle magazine spread, the actress says that Mom is her most rewarding role to date.

“Being a mom makes me feel whole and like I understand the meaning of life,” Romijn, 36, tells InStyle for the June Sexy issue, on newsstands May 22. “All I want to do is stare into my babies’ eyes nonstop.”

Romijn, who has already lost 60 lbs. since giving birth to Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip in December, is nearly back to her pre-baby body – but says she doesn’t worry too much about her figure.

“I’m a jeans size up from where I usually am, but there’s nothing about it that freaks me out,” she says. “I feel as sexy as I have ever felt. I’ve always said that sexy is having a really strong sense of yourself and never taking yourself too seriously.”

As for how her husband, Jerry O’Connell, is handling a house full of women, Romijn praises him as a wonderful dad. “He’s got endless amounts of energy, and he’s having such a blast with these girls.”

Just don’t ask O’Connell what it will be like when the girls are older. Jokes Romijn: “He’s determined not to let them ever date while he is alive.”

Rebecca, 36, has revealed that her secret workout to losing almost all of the 60 pounds that she put on while pregnant with her twin daughters is…..nothing!

“I think within the first three weeks, I took off like 35 pounds without doing anything!” Rebecca told Extra in her first interview since giving birth to daughters Charlie and Dolly on December 28th. “I haven’t been able to work out that much because I have twins. It’s impossible to get back into a regular schedule.” 

And just like Angelina Jolie, Rebecca said that the one thing that has helped her lose weight is nursing her daughters. “Breastfeeding is the very best diet I’ve been on,” she revealed. “It’s amazing. It’s like you have to eat 5,000 extra calories a day or you can’t produce enough food for them.”

Rebecca does admit that she needs a little help: “I’m not pretending to be back to the shape I was in beforehand anyway. I still have a ways to go…We’ve got Spanx underneath almost everything.”

When asked if she has any problems telling the twins apart from each other, Rebecca replied, “No because they look completely different,” she explained. “One looks just like Jerry. Her name is Charlie and the other one looks just like me. Her name is Dolly. She’s a blonde and Charlie is a  brunette and I think they are both just gorgeous.”

Jerry O’Connell introduced his twin daughters on Live with Regis and Kelly today!

“I don’t want to be one of those guys who is like, ‘Look at my babies,’ ” Jerry, 34, said, joking with Kelly Ripa while cohosting the show on Friday. “The second you have kids, you can’t help but be like, ‘I happen to have some photos of my children.’ “

Since becoming a first-time dad, Jerry is learning a lot – and has become a bit health and hygiene-obsessed. 

“I do wash my hands all the time,” he said, noting that he also picked up one important tip: How to properly change his daughters’ diapers and wipe. “Front to back,” Jerry noted, prompting laughs from Kelly and the audience. 

One other tip to parents: Speak to children like they are adults. 

“I really try to not speak in baby talk,” he said. “I want them to be intelligent.” 

As for his growing family, Jerry said he’s super-thrilled that he has twins. “These are my first kids and Rebecca’s first kids, and you can’t imagine just have one. It’s so much fun to have two of them. You throw them in the crib and they just play with each other.” 

Jerry also credited his wife for being so hands on. 

“I have to give a lot of kudos to my wife,” he told Kelly. “[She] is now waking up every three hours and doing what we call the ‘Double Football,’ ” Jerry said. “They eat at the same time!” 

UPDATE: The rwin girls are named Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tuli, and were born on December 28th.

“Mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well,” said Rebecca’s rep.

“They had twin girls, Dolly and Charlie,” Howard Stern said. “Rebecca likes Dolly Parton, so they named the one after Dolly Parton, and Jerry got to name the other one Charlie, but his brother’s name is Charlie — and it’s a girl Charlie.”

Shortly after Rebecca’s pregnancy was announced, Jerry, 34, joked that he was already feeling protective of his unborn daughters.

“Just the fact that they’re girls, you know?” he told Us magazine. “I don’t want them to date. They’re only allowed to date men who run countries. They’re only allowed to date men who are heir to the throne or are currently running a nation.”

In November, Rebecca, 36, told Page Six magazine she was ready to give birth. (She had to skip friend Howard Stern’s October wedding because she was put on bed rest.)

“I can’t move anymore… I’m a beached whale!” she said. “I have not been without a bra this entire pregnancy. I refuse. I’m not taking any chances. I’m determined to keep the puppies up!”

She also revealed that the twins were conceived without the help of in vitro fertilization or the fertility drug Clomid.

“A year ago, we tried Clomid for a couple of months unsuccessfully,” Rebecca said. “But by the second month, I was like, ‘Ahhh! I hate this!’ I think when you start messing with your own hormones, it’s crazy-making.”

Having babies is a dream, she added.

“I was never a girl who dreamed about what her wedding day would be like, but I’ve always dreamed about decorating my baby’s nursery.”

And Jerry will make a “fantastic dad,” she said. “He’s a pragmatic, smart, savvy, enthusiastic person. He really lives his life with tremendous integrity, and he’s a healthy person in every single way.”

Rebecca and Jerry “are going to be the most fun, zany parents in California,” Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams told Us magazine in September. “The kids are going to be gorgeous.

“And she’s smart, she’s talented, she’s funny, and she’s well grounded,” Vanessa added. “That’s what you need to be to be a great mom and raise great kids.”

An expectant Rebecca Romijn is amazed at how big her bump has gotten! Rebecca is expecting twin girls this winter.

“I can’t move anymore … I’m a beached whale!” she told Page Six magazine. “I have not been without a bra this entire pregnancy. I refuse. I’m not taking any chances. I’m determined to keep the puppies up!”

Rebecca, 36, also insists that she she did not do in vitro to get pregnant.

“A year ago, we tried [the fertility drug] Clomid for a couple of months unsuccessfully,” said Rebecca. “But by the second month, I was like, ‘Ahhh! I hate this!’ I think when you start messing with your own hormones, it’s crazy-making.”

She also denies claims that she and John Stamos split in 2004 because she did not want children.

“There is absolutely no truth to that. That [story] was completely made up,” she said. “I desperately wanted kids. I was never a girl who dreamed about what her wedding day would be like, but I’ve always dreamed about decorating my baby’s nursery.”
