Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz are very excited about their son’s first birthday! Bronx turns one today and the family shared their excitement on Twitter!

“Happy Birthday to my precious angel on earth!!!” aunt Jessica Simpson, 29, Twittered this morning. “Bronx is 1 today!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! I can’t believe it has been a year already.”

Since welcoming Bronx Mowgli last November, Ashlee has said that motherhood “is the most fantastic experience I have ever been through,” adding that her boy makes her “laugh and smile everyday.”

The day before her son’s birthday, an ecstatic Ashlee, 25, couldn’t contain her excitement.

“BX’s 1st bday tomorrow!” she wrote. “My angel is going to be a year!! The greatest year of my life.”

Pete, 30, also had a message!

“Happy birthday bx. you dont have twitter and cant read this,” he joked. “Thanks to all my friends that recorded lullabies. cant believe its been a year.”

Pete Wentz has been a solo parent as of late because wife Ashlee, 25, has been busy preparing for her Broadway debut as Chicago’s Roxie Hart on November 30th.

“I just spent the last weekend – Mom was rehearsing for Chicago – being Dad without a nanny, without Mom, and didn’t burn the house down,” Pete, 30, told People magazine on Tuesday at the American Eagle Outfitters Times Square store opening. “So I’m pretty excited about that.”

The couple’s son, Bronx Mowgli, celebrates his first birthday on Friday, and his parents are throwing him a SpongeBob SquarePants-themed birthday party in Los Angeles.

“He likes Bob and he likes guitar – which he calls ‘itar,’ so we’re going to have a Spongebob party for him,” Pete said.

On the guest list? “A bunch of friends,” he said. “Like all the guys in Blink [182] and a couple friends that have kids [are coming over].”

Mr. Mom did admit that Bronx may need a babysitter on the night of Ashlee’s Broadway debut. Asked if he will be attending his wife’s debut, Pete said, “I think I will be.”

Brooke Shields has been honest and forthcoming about her painful struggles with post-partum depression, but in revealing new comments she shares the true depths of her suffering.

Brooke, 44, spoke movingly about the stigma of depression and her experience battling the disease on Monday while receiving an advocacy award from the Hope for Depression Research Foundation in Manhattan.

“We think and we feel that we should just be able to handle it on our own,” said Brooke, who is mom to two girls, Rowan, 6, and Grier, 3. “I’ve always been strong enough to get through every single difficult situation in my life. I grew up in an addictive household. My mother [Teri] had acute alcoholism. It’s in my blood. I was never going to be the one to succumb to it.”

After a miscarriage and seven IVF attempts, she welcomed daughter Rowan in 2003 with her husband, Chris Henchy. “I finally had a healthy beautiful baby girl and I couldn’t look at her,” she said of the depression she felt. “I couldn’t hold her and I couldn’t sing to her and I couldn’t smile at her … All I wanted to do was disappear and die.”

In her deepest moments of despair she said, that the disease led her to believe, “I should not exist. The baby would be better off without me. Life was never going to get better – so I better just go.”

Brooke was prescribed medication, though she stopping taking it one point, thinking she didn’t need them. “That was the week I almost did not resist driving my car straight into a wall on the side of the freeway,” she told the crowd. “My baby was in the back seat and that even pissed me off because I thought she’s even ruining this for me. I just wanted to drive into the wall and my friend stayed on the phone with me and made me safely get home.”

She later called her doctor to ask for more help, and was eventually diagnosed with a chemical imbalance. “I learned what was going on inside my body and what was going on inside my brain,” she said. “I learned I wasn’t doing anything wrong to feel that way. That it was actually out of my control.”

Looking back, she said, “If I had been diagnosed with any other disease, I would have run to get help. I would have worn it like a badge … I didn’t at first – but finally I did fight. I survived.”

Adriana Lima and her husband, NBA star Marko Jaric, welcomed a daughter on Sunday in New York City.

“Adriana and Marko are thrilled to announce they had a baby girl, Valentina Lima Jaric,” a rep for Adriana told People magazine. “Mother, father and baby are all doing well.”

Adriana, 28, met Marko, 31, in 2006 and got engaged two years later on Adriana’s 27th birthday. The couple eloped on Valentine’s Day this year, tying the knot in a small, private civil ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Soon after the honeymoon, Adriana learned she was expecting. “We are so excited!” she told People magazine at the time. “We wanted this. We were ready.”

“Even in my wildest days I knew that I wanted to be the ultimate family man,” Marko added. “We’re ready to settle down.”

In the new issue of Ladies’ Home Journal, Nicole Kidman talks about how her breasts got bigger after giving birth to daughter, Sunday Rose.

“They’re not very big, my boobs, so they just became normal size. I loved it! I felt very Woman. When you’ve had a slightly androgynous body your whole life, having breasts is a nice feeling.”

Nicole also opened up about her life, having more kids, and how she put her career behind husband Keith Urban’s.

Her life: “I was running from my life, in a way. My imaginary life was better than my flesh-and-blood life. That’s a sad thing to say, but it was. Now I love my real life so much it requires an enormous belief in a film to want to take it on.”

Her career: “There are certain limitations to my career because I’m based here [in Nashville.] And that’s cool. Keith has enormous ambitions, which I support. His tours and albums are much bigger than what I’m doing right now.”

Hosting a baby group: “This is my way of having 10 kids.”

No memoirs for her: “I would never write a memoir. There are things that happen behind closed doors, and that’s where they belong. I’m not secretive. I’m protective.”

She won’t sing in front of Keith: “I hum a little. When your husband’s a huge singer, the last thing you do is sing with him.”

The future: “Sunday’s third word was ‘wow,’ and I say that word a lot. I hope when I’m 80 I’ll still be saying it. I’ve been given extraordinary opportunities, with huge dreams fulfilled. I’m 42 and my eyes are still wide open.”

Being in love: “I love being in love. I believe in the power of love, the way it can heal. The more you keep choosing it-because there are times when you can choose to be angry at the person or to love him-the more it nourishes a family.”

Jenna Elfman, who is pregnant with her second child, has been doing a good job of balancing food cravings and exercise.

“You know, the main cravings are done with,” Jenna, 37, told People magazine at the P.S. Arts “Express Yourself” charity event in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sunday. “Now it’s just eating in general. I like stuffing food down my face.”

Despite her indulgences, she has managed to stay in shape.

“I try to just get on the treadmill three times a week and lift some free weights,” said Jenna, who’s due in March with another boy.

Jenna’s pregnancy is going well, but her son, Story Elias, is eager for it to be over – and to have a new playmate.

“He’s wonderful. He gives the baby hugs and kisses and he says ‘Out!’ like he wants the baby to come,” she said.

Christina recently talked about life as a mother. “When the sun goes down my whole body starts to come alive, although I am a little different now because I do have a child and my hours have been turned upside down for him,” Christina said. “But I’m still naturally a night owl. If it were up to me my favorite time to work would be between three to four a.m., which is what it used to be before my baby was born.”

In an upcoming interview with Barbara Walters, former GOP vice-presidential contender Sarah Palin says that she did not know her daughter, Bristol, was sexually active with Levi Johnston.

So when Bristol, then 17, told her mom she was pregnant, “I was shocked,” Sarah, 45, told Barbara Walters in the five-part series of interviews to begin airing on ABC’s Good Morning America Tuesday. 

“Truthfully,” Sarah added, “we were devastated.”

Bristol, now 18, gave birth to son Tripp in December. She and Levi Johnston, 19, split shortly after.

Levi, who posed in Playgirl this past week, said he plans to file for joint custody of Tripp because the Palin family won’t let him see the baby.

In her Oprah Winfrey Show interview airing Monday, Sarah said Levi is still “part of the family” and is even welcome over for Thanksgiving.

But during Levi’s Playgirl shoot, “He said ‘ … she was full of it,’” Daniel Nardicio, Playgirl’s marketing director, told Us magazine.
